We serve as an umbrella organization for over 8,000 Harvard alumni who live and work throughout the UK. Our members include of graduates of Harvard College and all of Harvard’s graduate and professional schools. The Club is a great way to stay in touch both with Harvard and with fellow alumni in the UK. If you’d like to become a member, simply click here.  It’s easy!

Our Mission Statement:

HCUK is a charitable organisation run by volunteers with the mission of acting as Harvard’s ambassadors in the UK, creating a community and hub for all those with ties to the University (undergraduates, graduates and special programmes) in order for them to stay connected with Harvard itself, with each other, with current and future students, and with the broader UK society.

Throughout the year, the Club sponsors a tremendous number of activities, live (when possible) and online, ranging from annual events such as the live telecast of the Harvard-Yale Game, John Harvard Dinner at Emmanuel College Cambridge and Drinks at Parliament; public service charitable activities; exclusive theatre, musical and art events; and lectures from visiting Harvard faculty. Our Recent Graduates Committee also sponsors a wide range of events targeted at younger alumni. We send all Club members a quarterly newsletter, plus regular event emails, to keep them up to date on club activities.

Membership in the Club has a number of benefits, including special pricing on events.

The Club works closely with the Harvard College Admissions Office and, through our Outreach Program, we actively recruit and interview talented students from across the UK who apply to Harvard College. Our Outreach Program is a vital part of the Club’s mission, and we welcome volunteers who would like to be involved in admissions interviewing, school visits or our John Harvard Prize Book initiative in UK schools. If you would like more information on our Outreach Program or would like to volunteer click here.

As a Club member, you don’t have to feel bound by our current list of events and other service offerings. Why not use our website to form your own Shared Interest Group with other members with similar interests? Use your imagination and stay in touch with fellow alumni/ae! To find out more about SIGs or to set up a SIG, simply click here and you’re off and running!

Your views are important to us and we are always looking for suggestions of ways in which the Club can be of greater value to its members. If you would like to become more involved in Club activities please email us or contact me or any of the members of our executive committee.

On behalf of the Club, a warm welcome to the entire Harvard community in the UK!
