The reception is currently open to HCUK Members only but will open up to all Harvard alumni in late July. The event historically sells out. We strongly recommend registering immediately if you are interested in attending.

Refunds are possible up to 30th August only if spaces could be filled from the waitlist.
This event is not-for-profit and is priced to cover costs.
Once tickets have been purchased, you will receive an official invitation via email at least two days before the event. Due to security, all guests will need to present the official invitation and proof of identity in order to be admitted. Your name must also be on the security guest list. Please register using the same name as the one on your photo ID and do the same for any guests.

The Right Honourable David Lammy MP
Brief Biography
David Lammy is the Labour Member of Parliament for Tottenham. In November 2021, he was appointed Shadow Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs. David previously served as Labour's Shadow Secretary of State for Justice and as the Shadow Lord Chancellor. From 2002-2010, in the Blair and Brown governments, he was a Minister in several departments, including the Department of Constitutional Affairs, the Department of Culture, Media and Sport and the Department of Innovation, Universities and Skills.
David Lammy studied law at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) Law School and went on to be the first Black Briton to attend Harvard Law School. He is an Associate Tenant at Doughty Street chambers. David is the author of two books: ‘Out of the Ashes’ (2011), which examines the causes of the 2011 London riots, as well as ‘Tribes: How Our Need to Belong Can Make or Break Society’ (2020). He won both GQ’s and the Political Studies Association’s Politician of the Year in 2018.
