How closely related are gum disease and heart disease? Could gum disease treatment extend life expectancy? Gum disease has been associated with various conditions including heart disease, kidney disease and arthritis. Prof. Thomas Dietrich (MPH 2002) will walk us through the latest evidence for these associations and discuss some of the scientific challenges and controversies in this field.

The lecture will be followed by a small reception and networking event open for everyone interested in getting involved with The Harvard Club UK Shared Interest Group in Healthcare.
