Winnie M Li (Harvard AB ’00) has her second novel COMPLICIT coming out in June, and has a special launch event in London, on June 22.

Tipped to be one of the summer’s blockbuster reads, COMPLICIT is ‘a sharp and timely look into the dark heart of Hollywood’ (ELLE magazine). Drawn equally from Winnie’s experience working in the film industry and as a women’s rights activist, the book is a fictional exploration of #MeToo, female ambition in the workplace, and the American dream. You can read more about Winnie here: http;//winniemli.com/about/

Her launch event at Birkbeck College, London on Wed, June 22 promises to be a powerful evening, bringing together a distinguished panel of speakers, followed by a reception and book signing. It’s free to attend (either in person or online), but you must book in advance here: https://shame.bbk.ac.uk/events/book-launch-complicit-silence-vs-speaking-up-in-hollywood-and-everyday-workplaces/

HCUK is grateful to Winnie for all her support over the years and is proud of our association with such an illustrious writer. Later this year, we also hope to have our own HCUK event exclusively with Winnie, so stay tuned for more!
