To the Members of the Harvard Club of the UK:

From the streets of Minneapolis, Minnesota to Europe and beyond, the death of George Floyd struck a powerful cord across the globe.  Consequently, conversations around equity, systemic racism, police reform, and allyship are now prominent fixtures within households, communities, businesses, and politics alike.

We are all being asked to step up and display real leadership during these tumultuous times.  Since, as a Harvard alum, you are viewed as a leader by most members of society, you have the opportunity to play a major leadership role right now by serving as an ally against racism.  You’re probably wondering:

How can I serve as an ally?

What actions can I take to make a meaningful impact to advance equity and justice for black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC)?

How can I sustain my engagement for more than just a few weeks?

The Harvard Clubs of Europe invite you to Allyship: Leadership by Another Name, an illuminating presentation and interactive experience that will answer all of the above questions and more, while empowering you to be an excellent ally.

Ty Moore (AB ‘06) and Rebecca Wilson of VeraVis will guide you and the other attendees through a dynamic presentation and discussion to deepen your capacity to connect, advocate, and operate as trailblazing allies.

As Harvard alumni, we have a responsibility to be leaders in our respective communities. We have a role to play in creating a more just and equitable society.

If you want to heighten your understanding of how you can become a more conscientious and impactful ally, as well as how you can take meaningful action to advance equity and justice for BIPOC, this event is a great place to start!

Hope to see you there,

Harvard Clubs of Europe
