Celebrate Americans Making a Difference for UK Charities with Bill Bryson

Tufts University Fletcher alumni Kate and Jeff  Hedges, and a group of American ex-pats living in the UK will take on ‘The Bryson Line’ – an epic 569 mile walk from Cape Wrath in the top of Scotland to Bognor Regis, to raise £100,000 for five UK charities.

Inspired by Bill Bryson, author and fellow American ex-pat, and his recent book, The Road to Little Dibbling, the journey begins on the 9th of June, with the group covering 569 miles in 30 days, averaging around 19 miles a day.

On Sunday, July 8, Harvard Alumni and their families are invited to join Jeff, Bill Bryson and the team of weary walkers as they trek the last 11.4 miles into Bognor Regis.
The Walk starts at the Swan Hotel in Arundel at 0930 and ends with a big celebration in Bognor Regis. Arundel is easily accessible from London by train. Terrain for the route is not difficult and includes beautiful stretches of the south coast but good footwear is important.

Participants are asked to make a minimum donation of £25.00 to the Bryson Line Walk here: https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/brysonline

If you would like to just meet the group in Bognor Regis, this is also possible.
If you are interested in participating in this event, please RSVP to this email address indicating whether you will do the walk or meet the group in Bognor Regis.

Please contact Jeff Hedges F’77 at hedgeslon@hotmail.com if you have any questions.
