Donald Sultan was a vital figure in the reinvention of painting that occurred in New York in the 1980s and also in the re-establishment of figuration in contemporary painting. His works are in the permanent collections of more than 50 major museums including MoMA, the Guggenheim and Tate Modern. The current exhibition includes works spanning his career from 1977 to 2019.
